Softly Said Publisher: Privacy Policy

Softly Said Publisher (“the app”) is an internal tool used only by the operator of the Softly Said Facebook Page and the Softly Said YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public, and people cannot sign in to it or connect their own accounts.

What the app does

The app uses the Meta Graph API to:

• publish Reels and comments on the Softly Said Page
• read performance insights for the Page’s Reels
• read comments on the Page’s Reels so the operator can reply to them

YouTube

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the Softly Said YouTube channel’s content through the app, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

The app signs in only to the operator’s own Google account, and uses the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API to:

• upload Shorts to the Softly Said channel
• read the channel’s own videos and their public counts, such as views, likes, and comments
• read aggregated analytics for the channel’s videos, such as views, watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained, and shares

The app does not read or store information about other YouTube users or other channels, and does not use cookies. The access token and refresh token are stored only on the operator’s computer.

The account owner can revoke the app’s access at any time on the Google Account permissions page. After access is revoked, the app deletes its stored YouTube data within 30 days.

Information the app accesses

• Content published by the Page, such as Reels, captions, and comments.
• Aggregated insights for the Page’s Reels, such as plays, watch time, follows, comments, and shares.
• Comments that people leave on the Page’s Reels, which can include the commenter’s name, the Facebook identifier provided by Meta, and the comment text.

The app does not ask for email addresses, passwords, payment details, or access to anyone’s personal Facebook profile.

How the information is used

Information is used only to run and improve the Softly Said Page: publishing content, understanding which Reels perform well, and helping the operator reply to comments.

Comment text and performance data may be sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI service to draft reply suggestions and weekly performance summaries. The operator reviews suggested replies before using them.

Storage and retention

Information is stored on the operator’s own computer. It is kept only as long as needed to run the Page, and is deleted when it is no longer needed.

Sharing

Information is not sold and is not used for advertising. It is shared only with the service providers named in this policy, and when required by law.

Deleting your information

To ask for deletion of information about you, email the address below and include a link to the comment or a description of the information. Requests are handled within 30 days. You can also delete your own comments directly on Facebook.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
